Description
This day trip is to explore the flavors of the land just south of Florence with its traditions for great wine, olive oil, cheese & meats. We visit two distinct organic wineries, and you will come to understand the concept of terroir, and you will learn how Chianti & Chianti Classico is made. Wander through the vineyards, underground cellars, and sampling areas, while engaging in informative discussions. Your Grape guide will explain how to distinguish the characteristics of the wines in your glass. Lunch is an exceptional feast at famous butcher Dario Cecchini with traditional dishes as well as the iconic Bistecca. Return with the fondest of memories of Tuscany’s wine country.
- We meet at the Grape Tours’ office 15 minutes before start, and this is the drop-off point, too.

This Is Your Tour You’ve Been Looking For Worth Every Penny! Although I didn’t get to meet Dario (he was in Sicily!) the visit to the butcher and the meat fest was amazing. Our tour guide was very awesome at his job. The wineries we visited were like out of a Tuscan dream.
