This was a great experience for the adult and the teen. We started the morning by going to the market and picking up some of the ingredients. Our assigned chef, Roberta, was great. She respects food and taught us so much about the colors and flavors and how to eat and enjoy it. We learned how to make Ragú and tomato sauce, pasta from scratch and tiramisu. Every ingredient was fresh and the end result was delicious. We will definitely do this experience again!

This was one of our favorite experiences in Florence. Tommaso was our chef and teacher and he was incredibly fun to cook with and learn from! We visited the local market for the freshest and best ingredients, and Tommaso got us local advice on everything from truffles, to olive oil, to biscotti. Best pesto and tiramisu i’ve ever tasted in my life. You’d be crazy not to sign up for a class and learn with these guys. Tons of fun, learning, and laughs. We’ll be back again!

The marketplace tour is very informational and you get to meet some of the vendors. I went back to the cheese vendor and got some cheeses vacuumed sealed to take home with me! So cool to find out that generations of families have been selling their products in the marketplace. This was my first cooking class and it was SO FUN! We made a tiramisu first (which is surprisingly much easier than expected). You get to be hands on, which is big for me. You make your own pasta dough (we made one dough for ravioli and tagliatelle). Our guide extraordinaire, FEDERICO was incredibly knowledgeable and also hilarious. It made the class that much more fun. You get wine with lunch and get to make new friends in the process. 11/10, highly recommend. I wish I was in Florence longer to take another class – next time!!
